Wounded in action, Gallipoli, 25-30 April 1915 (gun shot wound, face); admitted to 17th General Hospital, Alexandria, 30 April 1915. Embarked Alexandria for Gallipoli, 2 June 1915; rejoined Bn, 7 June 1915.

Transferred to Fleet Sweeper from Casualty Clearing Station, 28 July 1915 (influenza); and admitted to No 3 Hospital, Lemnos; transferred to A&NZ Base, Lemnos, 12 September 1915; discharged to rejoin unit, 14 September 1915. Rejoined unit at Gallipoli, 2 november 1915.

Disembarked Alexandria, 28 December 1915 (general Gallipoli evacuation).

Found guilty, Tel el Kebir, 28 January 1916, of breaking Camp from Reveille, 24 January, till Reveille, 26 January 1916: awarded 3 days' field Punishment no 2 and forfeited 3 days' pay.
