Proceeded overseas to France, 17 October 1917; marched into 2nd Australian Divisional Base Depot, Le Havre, 18 October 1917. Proceeded to unit, 22 October 1917; taken on strength of 25th Bn, 24 October 1917. Wounded in action, 4 November 1917, and admitted to 5th Field Ambulance the same day (gassed, shell); transferred to No 10 Casualty Clearing Station, 5 November 1917; to No 54 General Hospital, 6 November 1917; to England, 7 November 1917; to Ontario Hospital, Orpington, 7 November 1917; discharged to furlough, 18 January 1918, and to report to No 1 Command Depot, 1 February 1918.
