Military Medal 'Lance Corporal MORGAN has rendered conspicuous service over a long period. His initiative on many occasions has been of the greatest value. Regardless of danger, he has always been ready to volunteer for any job. During an attack near BEAUREVOIR, east of AMIENS, on 3rd October, 1918, the left flank of the company to which this man belonged, was held up by an enemy post of three machine guns and thirty men. Working round to a flank, this N.C.O. used his rifle so effectively that the post was able to be rushed from the front with only a few casualties. After the objective was captured, this N.C.O. gave very valuable assistance to his platoon commander in reconnoitring and selecting positions for the outposts, and in locating enemy posts.'
