Military Medal 'During the fighting at POLYGON WOOD east of YPRES on 20th September, 1917, Pte. MORRIS' work was exceptionally good. He displayed wonderful coolness and bravery in digging out a buried comrade after he himself had been severely wounded. He set a splendid example to the other men in his Section.'
