Military Medal

'During the operations of 25/29th September 1917 at POLYGON WOOD, Tempy. Sergeant MORRISON as section Sergeant assisted in the supervision of the digging of a strong point under heavy fire. After it was completed he stayed in the front line for 4 days and every night handled wiring parties. By his coolness under fire he set a splendid example to the men. The successful wiring of the Brigade Front was due to a great extent to his bravery and determination to get the work done at all costs.'
