Medals |
Distinguished Conduct Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. When this N.C.O. with his platoon were moving along a sunken road, they were suddenly fired at from both flanks and front. He displayed great coolness in keeping control of his men and getting them under cover, at the same time keeping in touch with his company commander. His initiative and resource saved many casualties, and were a fine example.'

These N.C.O.s [MUIR and 129 W.T. BROWN] undoubtedly by their devotion to duty saved considerable loss of time and material, and enabled the party to get through almost intact.
