Wounded in action (date not recorded); admitted to No 2 General Hospital, Ghezireh, 5 May 1915 (gun shot wound, right hand); discharged to duty, 12 June 1915.

Admitted to A&NZ Convalescent Hospital, Helouan, 26 July 1915; transferred to Base Details, Zeitoun, 7 August 1915; rejoined unit, Gallipoli, 16 August 1915.

Admitted to 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station, 7 September 1915 (foreign bodies in eyes), and transferred to 25th Casualty Clearing Station, Imbros; to HS 'Assaye', 8 September 1915; disembarked Alexandria, 11 September 1915, and admitted to Eye Hospital, Heliopolis; and transferred to No 2 Auxiliary Hospital; to A&NZ Convalescent Hospital, Helouan, 15 September 1915; discharged to duty, 8 October 1915.
