Admitted to 2nd Field Ambulance and transferred to 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station, Mudros, 2 September 1915 (diarrhoea); to Hospital Ship, HS 'Salta', 5 September 1915 (dysentery); admitted to 19th General Hospital, Alexandria, Egypt, 9 September 1915; transferred to England, 23 September 1915; admitted to 3rd Western General Hospital, Cardiff, England, 4 October 1915. Found guilty, 7 April 1916, of being absent without leave from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, 7 April 1916: awarded forfeiture of 1 day's pay.
