'Throughout the period March-September 1918 R.Q.M.S. NICOLL has rendered conspicuously good service at all times. He has been untiring in his energies and has ably seconded the efforts of his Quartermaster to see that the comfort of the men in the matter of equipment and hot meals under all conditions. His duties have frequently led him to carry on under shell fire but he has shown complete disregard to his own welfare.'
