Military Medal 'Near LE BARQUE, FRANCE, on the 24/26th February, 1917, Pte. BIGGS who acted as a runner during the operations, showed great courage in carrying despatches, often through heavy artillery and machine gun fire. On one occasion he was thrown into the air by the concussion of a shell and though badly shaken, he carried on with his duties.'
