Military Medal 'For conspicuous devotion to duty during the period 16/17th September, 1918, to 11th November, 1918. At VILLERET on the 18th September, 1918, Sergeant NOAH displayed great boldness and initiative when his Officr had become a casualty. Leading his platoon to the attack he observed an enemy machine gun temporarily checking the platoon on his right. He at once moved out and took up a position to engage the strong point. On seeing the dash displayed by this N.C.O. and the troops under his command the enemy totalling about 12 commenced to flee in disorder. They were engaged by Lewis Gun and Rifle Fire and four were killed. On the Line of Exploitation being reached this N.C.O. again displayed great initiative and ability.
