Military Medal 'At POZIERES on 2nd August, 1916, he was in charge of the Battalion stretcher bearers whom he organised and controlled particularly well. It was largely owing to his example and help that the stretcher bearers performed much excellent work. He made frequent trips to and from dressing station to front line under heavy fire.'
