Medals |
Military Medal 'At GUEUDECOURT on the night 24th/25th February, 1917 Sergeant O'Brien rendered gallant service by pushing his Lewis Gun right up to enemy's parapet and covering bombing party. This was done with no concern of self and everything possible to ensure advancing party success. it was very dangerous work and called for pluck of the highest degree, also initiative and intelligence. I cannot speak too highly of this Non Commissioned Officer's work.'
