Military Medal 'During the operations in front of LAGNICOURT on morning of 15th April, 1917 these Signallers [4687 S. GREENWOOD and BINGE] did excellent work in running out wire under heavy rifle and Machine Gun fire, thus enabling constant communication with Battalion Headquarters during the whole of the operations to be maintained. On running short of wire they pushed forward and salvaged sufficient wire to keep up communications.'
