Military Medal 'For bravery and devotion to duty at front line trenches MOLENAARELSTHOEK on the 29th September, 1917. Private PAGE was a member of a Lewis gun team in an advanced post. During some heavy hostile shelling a shell exploded in the post killing the No. 1 of the gun and wounding the remainder of the crew. Private PAGE in spite of only having the use of one arm, being severely wounded in the other, brought his gun back to the main line and notified the Officer in charge of what had happened and was instrumental in having the rest of the wounded men brought in.'
