Military Medal 'During the operations near POLYGON de ZILLEBEKE east of YPRES on 20/22nd Septembr 1917, Pte. PAICE worked with the greatest keeness and courage under heavy shell fire, keeping good the telephone communications between the front line and Battalion Headquareters. His work was invaluable and saved many casualties amongst runners.'
