Meritorious Service Medal 'For consistent good work during the period 16th September, 1918 to 11th November, 1918. This Non Commissioned Officer came to FRANCE with his Battalion in November 1916, and has been with his Unit throughout the engagements of MESSINES, PASSCHENDAELE, VILLERS-BRETONNEUX, MORLANCOURT, ACCROCHE WOOD and Le CATELET. At all times he has shown continuous and unselfish devotion to duty, which has been performed with entire satisfaction. He was wounded at ACCROCHE WOOD.'
