Military Medal 'From 21st August to 2nd September, 1918 during offensive operations on the SOMME, Bombardier PARKINSON, showed wonderful fortitude and determination throughout the period. When badly shaken by a shell exploding alongside his gun, he continued his work as layer, and so kept his gun in action.'
