'This N.C.O. has been Battalion Orderly Room Sergeant practically since the formation of this Unit, and has always carried out his duties in a most able and conscientious manner. More especially was this so during the period from September 8th, 1918 until December 31st, 1918, when his thorough knowledge of the Battalion records, and his most willing and capable assistance in the Battalion Orderly Room have made him almost invaluable to the Battalion Headquarters Staff.'
