War service: embarked Sydney, 1 May 1918; failed to re-embark at Wellington, New Zealand, 11 May 1918.

Embarked Wellington on board HMAT 'Osterley', 14 May 1918; disembarked Liverpool, England, 10 July 1918; marched in to 1st Training Bn, 11 July 1918.

Found guilty, 26 July 1918, of being absent without leave, Wellington, midnight to 10.30 am, 10 May 1918: awarded 7 days' Field Punishment No 2, and forfeited 9 days' pay.
