Struck off strength of Rabaul Garrison, 27 February 1918, and commences return to Australia for furlough on board HT 'Morinda'. Taken on strength of Rabaul Garrison, 14 May 1918. Arrived from Matupi, 19 July 1918, and taken on strength of Rabaul Garrison the same day. Promoted Temporary Quartermaster Sergeant, Rabaul, 2 September 1918. Relinquishes rank of Temporary Quartermaster Sergeant, 18 October 1918, and promoted Sergeant the same day.
