Military Medal 'At ZONEBEKE on the 10th October, 1917, Private PLEASS found two wounded men of the 19th Battalion who had been lying out in the open for 2 days and 3 nights. Despite the heavy shelling, at great personal risk, he took out food and water to them and then guided a party of stretcher bearers out to them and helped to bring them into the R.A.P. Had it not been for this man both the wounded men would have perished.'
