Military Medal 'At POZIERES on the morning of the 5th August, 1916 after working all night, hearing that number of wounded men were lying in No Man's Land, unattended these men [ 8529 A.A. PORTER, 8731 O.C. JONSEN] volunteered to go forward, and proceeding through a heavy barrage continued to dress the wounded through heavy shell fire until their supply of dressings was exhausted. They then carried in wounded under heavy fire.'
