Military Medal 'During 3rd and 4th September, 1916, near MOUQUET FARM, this man unhesistantly carried many messages between Company and Battalion Headquarters, working over badly damaged communication trenches under heavy shell fire. Towards the end, though worked to a point of exhaustion, he bravely stuck to his task until the Battalion was relieved.'
