Wounded in action, 6 May 1917 (shell wound, left arm and abdomen), and admitted to 3rd Casualty Clearing Station; transferred to General Hospital, Etaples, 7 May 1917; to england, 9 May 1917, and admitted to Boscombe Military Hospital, 10 May 1917. Transferred to 1st Australian auxiliary Hospital, Harefield, 7 June 1917; discharged to No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 19 June 1917.
