Medals |
Military Medal 'On his Company Commander becoming a casualty at BROODSEINDE RIDGE on the 9th/10th October, 1917, this N.C.O. took command when things were becoming critical, organising the men into proper fighting order under very heavy fire and showing great disregard for his personal safety. There is no doubt but for him quickly taking charge that a big gap would have occurred in this sector as the men were inclined to bunch. When the objective was reached he did excellent work in directing and controlling fire of men under him.'
