Medals

Meritorious Service Medal

'For devotion to duty between 25th February and 16th September, 1918. The skill and assiduity with which this Non Commissioned Officer has carried out his duties as Company Quartermaster Sergeant is worthy of the very highest commendation. In addition to dealing with all stores of the unit he has handled the whole of the controlled technical signal stores of the Division with admirable ability, and has always practiced the strictest economy. During the operations on the SOMME with this Division since March last until the present date, C.Q.M.S. Pyner's close attention to his various duties and the marked accuracy and dispatch with which he has carried out all work entrusted to him have made his services invaluable to the Division and to this unit in particular.'
