Embarked Alexandria to join the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force (Gallipoli Campaign), 2 March 1915.

Admitted to 2nd Field Ambulance, 19 August 1915 (hernia), and transferred same day to 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station, and then to Mudros.

Embarked on board HS 'Ulysses', 19 August 1915; disembarked Alexandria, 25 August 1915, and admitted to 1st Australian General Hospital, Heliopolis; transferred to 3rd Auxiliary Hospital, 25 August 1915; to Concentration Camp, Suez, 6 October 1915.

Commenced return to Australia from Suez on board HT 'Aeneas', 31 October 1915; disembarked Fremantle, 26 November 1915; discharged (medically unfit: post-hernia debility and neurasthenia), Perth, 9 October 1916.
