Military Medal 'For gallantry and initiative under fire. During the enemy attack on LAGNICOURT at dawn on April 15th 1917, Sgt. RANSON was in the picquet line. He then ordered his party to dig in and personally superintended the siting of trench and encouraged his men regardless of persoanl risk.'
