Marched in to No 8 Training Bn, Hurdcott, 11 September 1917.

Marched in to 15th Training Bn, Codford, 5 November 1917.

Proceeded overseas to France, 18 December 1917; taken on strength, 43rd Bn, 24 December 1917.

Detached to Sniping School, 23 March 1918; rejoined Bn from Sniping School, 29 March 1019.

Wounded in action, 5 April 1918 (gun shot wound, right shoulder), and admitted to 20th Casualty Clearing Station, and transferred same day to 3rd Canadian Stationary Hospital; to 4th General Hospital, Camiers, 6 April 1918; to England, 8 April 1918, and admitted to Colliton VAD, attached to Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester, 9 April 1918; transferred to 3rd Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, 6 June 1918; discharged on furlough, 10 June, to report to No 4 Command Depot, Hurdcott, 24 June 1918.

Admitted to Group Hospital, Hurdcott, 28 June 1918 (influenza); marched in to No 4 Command Depot from hospital, 7 July 1918.
