Meritorious Service Medal 'Corporal RAWNSLEY has during the period February to September 1918 carried the duties of Battalion Signal Corporal in a most capable and efficient manner. His initiative and resource have often materially assisted in keeping Signal routes and communication open under most difficult and hazardous conditions. Corporal RAWNSLEY has displayed unbounded personal energy and enthusiasm and taken a great pride in establishing and maintaining communication between Battalion Headquarters and Companies employed in the line, thus materially assisting in administrating the operations carried out by Companies.'
