Admitted to 2nd Australian Field Ambulance, 1 March 1919, and transferred to 55th Casualty Clearing Station; to Ambulance Train No 19, 3 March 1919, and admitted to 7th General Hospital, Wimereux, 4 March 1919 (gonorrhoea); transferred to England, 2 April 1919, and admitted to 1st Australian Dermatological Hospital, Bulford; discharged, 5 April 1919; total period of treatment for venereal disease: 36 days.

Found guilty, civil offence, Tower Bridge Police Court, London, 17 July 1919, being drunk and disorderly, being in possession of a loader revolver: fined £2.0.0.

Found guilty, 30 July 1919, of being absent without leave from 2359, 20 July, to 1900, 23 July 1919: awarded 7 days' Field Punishment No 2, and forfeited 10 days' pay.

Commenced return to Australia on board HT 'Ajana', 19 August 1919; admitted to ship's hospital, at sea, 24 August 1919 (jaundice); disembarked Sydney, 9 October 1919; discharged (termination of period of enlistment), Melbourne, 20 November 1919.
