Military Medal 'At TREUX near ALBERT on night of 12th/13th June, 1918 this Driver was in charge of a limbered wagon carrying Gas Projectiles. he had to take his team through a heavy enemy barrage, and, although both his horses were wounded and he, himself, severely wounded, realising the danger of stampeding horses to the convoy carrying gas cylinders ahead and behind him, he stuck to his team, delivered his load, and succeeded in driving the team back to the Support Company Quarters where he collapsed. His action prevented the other limbers from becoming disorganised and enabled the projectors to be supplied with projectiles.'
