Distinguished Conduct Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry near Lihons on 10 August, 1918. When the company was held up this N.C.O. moved forward alone with a Lewis gun under intense fire, and, although wounded, used his gun with great skill, and enabled the centre of the company to get forward.'
