War service: Egypt, Western Front Private Roberson originally enlisted 25 April 1916, and embarked with the regimental number 2129, with the 35th Battalion, B compang. He served in France, and was discharged due to medical unfitness on 1 November 1917, returning to Australia per HMAT 'Demosthenes'. He re-enlisted in the AIF,and was given the regimental number 64728, with the 37 Company Australian Mounted Divisional Train. The company embarked from Sydney, 16 October 1918, on board HT 'Malta'; arrived Suez, 22 November 1918. After serving in Egypt, he was returned to Australia on the 'Dundee Castle', embarking at Suez 18 July 1919, and disembarking on 30 August 1919. Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal |
