Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and skill with which he handled his two mortars in the captured trenches near BULLECOURT on 3rd May firing as occasion arose either East or West from the right flank of the Brigade. His fire was accurate and economical inflicting very severe losses on the enemy and giving most valuable support to the hard pressed infantry during counter attacks.'
