Meritorious Service Medal

'Served as a stretcher bearer with 6th Australian Field Ambulance on GALLIPOLI. As private clerk and since November, 1916 as Sergeant Clerk to A.D.M.S., this N.C.O. has rendered splendid service ensuring correctness of returns and routine office work. This work has always been arduous, entailing long hours and extreme care, but by constant application and conspicuous ability Sergeant ROBERTS has overcome all difficulties rendering great assistance in the smooth running o the administration.'
