Military Medal 'While advancing between FONTAINE le CAPPY and the SOMME on the 27th, 29th August 1918, T/Sergeant ROBERTSON displayed much bravery and devotion to duty. When his Company was held up by machine gun fire in a difficult position he immediately went forward with 2 Lieut. SMITH and two other ranks to attack the gun and about 30 enemy, who were established in a maze of tenches. His splendid dash and effective bombing succeeded in putting the gun out of action, capturing it with 8 prisoners besides disabling others. His efficient work and admirable daring tended much to the success of the exploit, which was carried through in a very excellent manner.'
