Military Medal 'Near NOREUIL on the night of 10th - 11th April on the occasion of operations being carried out by the 4th Australian Division, Sapper ROBINSON was in charge of an amplifier station at 4th Australian Brigade H.Q. Signals - he remained at his post with receiver on his ears for 36 hours continuously and by frequently repairing his earth lines, many times under heavy shell fire, he succeeded in maintaining the communications throughout. On the morning of the 11th April, during the enemy counter attack, he joined in the defence of the trench and saved his amplifier from falling into the enemy's hands.'
