Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry during operations. During a fierce bomb fight in the trenches he took his bombing platoon to reinforce another battalion. After relieving their bombers he fought with the greatest gallantry, even after he was wounded. He was largely responsible for the repulse of the enemy's attack.'
