Military Medal 'For gallant conduct and devotion to duty on April 3rd 1918, at ALBERT, when during a heavy bombardment preceding an enemy attack he rushed forward from our line about 20 yards so as to more fully observe the enemies movements. He was entirely without cover and exposed to heavy enemy fire. He remained in this position until the attack developed when he rushed back and gave the warning to the garrison.'
