Distinguished Conduct Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in assisting in a bombing attack upon the enemy, who were forming up for a counter attack. He afterwards showed great courage in an attack upon a strong point, where he remained in an isolated position with a small party until his bombs were exhausted.'
