Military Medal 'Before LE BARQUE, from 24th to 27th February, 1917, Sgt. SCOTT accompanied his officer (Lieut. BETHUNE) on several reconnaissances in NO MAN'S LAND by daylight, and brought back news that the enemy's line was evacuated. He showed an utter disregard of danger in seeking and obtaining the information which he brought in, and which proved so useful. Furthermore, his reconnaissances were voluntary. He handled his two guns with skill and determination, keeping them always up with the front line, and his cheerful demeanour and bravery inspired his sub-section with great confidence.'
