Proceeded to France through Southampton, 1 September 1917; marched into Australian General Base Depot, Rouelles, 2 September 1917; moved out to field, 4 September 1917; taken on strength of 2nd Divisional Ammunition Column, 7 September 1917. Transferred to 2nd Divisional Trench Mortar Brigade, 9 September 1917, and taken on strength of V2/A Battery, 10 September 1917.

Admitted to 7th Field Ambulance, 21 September 1917 (shrapnel wound, left shoulder); discharged to unit, 5 October 1917.
