Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. After reaching the final objective his platoon was suffering casualties from amchine gun fire. He took three men, rushed the post, and inflicted heavy casualties. Throughout the operation he showed great coolness and marked powers of command.'
