Distinguished Conduct Medal

'For specially good work at Afuleh during the recent operations in collecting bridging material and in the actual construction of the bridge over the Jordan at Benat Yukab on the morning of 26 September, 1918. Under fire he has always behaved with gallantry and shown an utter contempt of danger.'
