Military Medal 'During the attack on the BEAUREVOIR Line, east of PERONNE, on 3rd October, 1918, this N.C.O. was in charge of a Lewis gun section. At one stage of the attack, seeing a large number of the enemy getting back under covering fire from another post, he took his gun right forward alone, regardless of danger, and opened fire, causing a number of casualties to the enemy, and compelling 12 of them to surrender.'
