Chevalier (Roumania) Source: 'Commonwealth Gazette' No. 10 Date: Military Cross 'On a hill near Sasa, on 29th September 1918, when the enemy had been holding up the brigade advance for some hours, he gallantly led a squadron which he was commanding in a dismounted night attack, in conjunction with another squadron, against the enemy position, and succeeded in clearing it in half an hour. He showed great dash and gallantry, and by his action spurred his men on quickly.'
