Transferred to 32nd Bn, 2 January 1918, and marched into 32nd Bn Details, 15th Training Bn, Codford, the same day.

Proceeded overseas to France, 1 April 1918; marched into Base Depot, Calais, 1 April 1918.

Proceeded to unit, 4 April 1918; taken on strength of 48th Bn, 6 April 1918.

Wounded in action, 8 August 1918; admitted to No 13 Australian Field Ambulance, 8 August 1918, and transferred to No 32 Stationary Hospital, Wimereux, the same day (gunshot wound, stomach); to England, 14 August 1918; to Colchester War Hospital, Clacton on Sea, 14 August 1918 (bullet wound, abdominal wall, severe); to No 1 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Harefield, 27 August 1918; discharged to furlough, 31 August 1918; marched into No 1 Command Depot, Sutton Veny, 20 September 1918, and classified 'B1A2'.

Admitted to Group Clearing Hospital, Sutton Veny, 9 October 1918 (diarrhoea); transferred to Sutton Veny, Miliary Hospital, 12 October 1918 (pneumonia).

Died, Sutton Veny Military Hospital, 17 October 1918 (influenza, and pneumonia).

Buried, St John the Evangelist Cemetery, Sutton Veny, 21 October 1918.
