Military Medal 'On 24th April, 1918, he enemy heavily shelled portions of the roads near BONNAY causing many casualties to men and horses. On several occasions throughout the day this N.C.O. with great bravery and with entire disregard for personal safety rescued and assisted his Officer to rescue wounded men of other Units and carry them to places of safety where their wounds could be dressed. His conduct under disadvantageous circumstances was of the highest character.'
